Show Not Tell

The Sea.
The sun shines down on the sparkling blue water. The warm water attracts fish. Birds fly around and cry through the silence of the morning sky. Small waves rest upon the sandy shore. Sunblock sticks tight to my skin as I jump into the water. I swim down deep and pressure hurts my head. I look around, the reef is full of colour. I don’t have enough air so I head to the surface. I break the surface and feel the heat of the air.Image result for blue water

Kim's Cat

Lately in class there was a cool cat, he went around picking up rubbish at the School here is a report on R2.

R2 The Amazing Cat

On the West Coast of NZ in Dobson, a small town near Greymouth, a local cat has been a tidy kiwi.

R2 a fat, tabby grey and white cat has been going to Paparoa Range School every Friday and Saturday night to pick up all the old rappers dropped by the children.

Stormy nights are the main time that R2 picks up rubbish. R2 gets in under the verandah where we have our sausage sizzle and picks up the rubbish which is mainly ice block wrappers, straws, spoons and plastic snaplock bags. R2 gets the rubbish with his mouth and his paws.

After R2 has picked up the rubbish he takes it home and drops it next to the cat flap. He then meows a really high pitched meow to get his owner Kim to see his work. R2 gets rubbish from the school to empress Kim and get praise. But Kim gets annoyed with him because he rips up the carpet and drops rubbish all over the house.

Kim adopted R2 from Taylorville at 5 and a half weeks old and now R2, is 9 years old. When Kim first got R2 he use to steal the clothes off the neighbors clothes line. If anyone lives in Dobson and your clothes go missing you’ll know who took it…

Wild,Wet,West

Wild, Wet, West.
Lately we have been working on Greymouth because the media have been saying rumors about Greymouth.
Rain clouds cluster, thunder roars in the sky. Underneath the rain clouds huddles a tiny close knit community that has been utterly smashed by the gruesome media spreading atrocious rumors. GREYMOUTH! We have loads to offer, we have a breathtaking environment, new facilities, loads of sports and all of these things are in the Wild, Wet, West.

This is the introduction to my Greymouth writing.

Captain Duck

Captain Duck.
Once there was a duck who was driving his car then all of a sudden it ran out of fuel. Luckily he stopped next to goats house he had petrel for his boat. He knocked on the door but no one ansered.
So Duck went inside and took the petrel back to his car. Goat was at his boat with his friends when he said " I'll get the petrel" So he walked off. Duck then spots the boat and walks up and jumps aboard.
duck starts the boat and duck and goats friends zoom off. They tell him to stop it but he doesn't know how to they travel out to sea and then the boat stops out of fuel. Then they all fall asleep. Goat looks through his telescope and spots them they are coming back in with the tide. Bump, the boat hits land.
Then Duck runs off to his car.
This was for my Reading challenge read in a quiet place.
